This is real and honest good food. Where possible we try to make all our food from the very basic of ingredients so we know exactly what’s going into them. All the baking, cooking, preparing of salads and fresh fare are carried out on site at 57 Main Street Mallow.
Our bakery begins at five in the morning. We bake fresh scones, brown soda, white yeast loaves and a huge selection of buns and tarts each day. Apple tarts are made with real apples not the dry processed stuff. All our breads, scones and buns are made from scratch and not the bought in, mass produced mix’s that are available on the market. All cakes are individually baked and made to order and so we can tailor each one to suit your needs.
All our chefs are highly trained, skilled and experienced. Together they create a wide variety of mouth watering, flavoursome food from soups and starters to dinners and deserts. When possible we source locally grown produce for our deli from our farm and others in the locality, like Annabella farm in Mallow. Good food and good ingredients need little help. We believe in the quality and taste of a natural product. All our salads are made with this in mind. You will taste the difference.
All our chicken products are homemade and home breaded in house, made from real chicken breast. All our beef and lamb is grass fed, best of Irish produce.
A family relation based in Rathduff, Cork rears Black Angus and Hereford cattle for us throughout the year. This allows us to dry age all our prime cuts such as fillet, striploin, T-bone, ribeye and sirloin for up to twenty eight days. Dry aging means hanging the beef in a special climate controlled coldroom. This concentrates the natural flavour of the meat along with increasing the tenderness of the meat texture. We rear some of our own pigs at our farm outside of Mallow; the rest comes from Staunton’s in Timoleague, West Cork. We buy chicken from Manor Farm in Corclare, County Cavan and Western Brand in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo.
We stock free range chickens from Carrigcleena Farm located just a few kilometres from Mallow.
We sell daily a wide variety of premium fresh fish sourced direct from Dunmore East and Castletownbere. Old Millbank Smokehouse based near Buttevant, Mallow supplies us with organic smoked salmon. Their years of experience guarantee a consistently high level of smoking which always enhances the exceptional flavour of the salmon.
